It’s time to head to a restaurant with outdoor dining! Yes, it’s winter in Michigan, and that phrase is mind-boggling to say the least. But there are so many benefits to getting out of the house and heading for one of these great establishments:

  1. You’re supporting a local business.
  2. It’s great for your mental health.
  3. Fresh air is always a good idea.
  4. You don’t have to cook!

So bundle up, grab a blanket, and enjoy a meal with your family or a best gal pal at some of our favorite local places this winter.

Where to Find Igloo Dining In + Around Detroit

Ale Mary’s | Royal Oak

Outdoor igloos. Accommodates 6 guests. No reservation required.

Blake’s Tasting Room | Armada

Heated outdoor igloos. Reservation and $15 booking fee required.

Buck Shots Bar and Grill | Clarkston

Heated outdoor igloos. $25 rental fee required. Accommodates up to 6 people with a two hour time limit to enjoy!

Camp Ticonderoga | Troy

Heated outdoor igloos. Accommodates up to 10 people with reservation required! $250 deposit and $250 food/beverage minimum.

Deadwood Bar + Grill | Northville

Heated outdoor igloos. There is a $12 non-refundable booking fee and a $200 minimum food and drink requirement for lunch; $300 minimum for dinner. Accommodates up to 10 people.

Four Star Grille | Marysville

Honcho | Clarkston

Outdoor igloos. Reservations required. Accommodates 4-8 people.

HomeGrown Brewing Company | Oxford

Heated outdoor igloos. Dog-friendly, too (limit one dog, please)! Reservations required with a $50 deposit (put towards bill) and a $100 food/drink minimum. Accommodates up to 10 people for two hours.

Lumen | Detroit

Heated, private chalets. Reservations required. Accommodates up to 10 people for two hours. Please note there is a $35 food/beverage minimum per person that is collected at time of booking and deducted from final bill.

On the Bay | New Baltimore

Heated gazebos, fully enclosed. Reservations required.

TAQ | Ann Arbor

Heated and ventilated outdoor dining huts. Accommodates up to 6 people. Reservations recommended.

The Tavern at Tina’s Country House | Macomb

Heated outdoor igloos, regular (accommodates 4-8 people) and pub style (accommodates up to 8 people). Reservation recommended.

The White Horse Inn | Metamora

Themed heated outdoor igloos. Accommodates up to 10 people for two hours. Reservations are required with a $10 non-refundable booking fee. There is a $250 food/beverage minimum.
