Get ready moms, Day Out With Thomas is BACK and we couldn’t be more excited! Over the last couple of years, our team has had the pleasure of partnering up with Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad to bring you the most relevant information about this event.
Thomas the Train is inviting all of your little engineers to jump aboard the #1 blue engine, and enjoy a day of fun-filled Thomas & Friends themed activities. Your child will be able to meet Sir Topham, our favorite Controller of the Railway, enjoy train play tables, crafts, story telling, videos, and so much more. Did we mention, Bob the Builder will be making a special guest appearance? The best part is you won’t feel like you’re getting nickel and dimed because everything is included in your admission. There’s nothing more frustrating than having to pull out your wallet for every activity you thought was already included.
Here are a few tips we think you’ll appreicate!
- If you’re anything like us, you’re probably wondering exactly how long this train ride is. Well, we’re here to tell you it’s 40 minutes and worth every minute. Make sure you arrive an hour before your scheduled train ride and please try not to squeeze everything in a short amount of time. Make sure you give yourself 3-4 hours to make sure it’s an enjoyable experience with little stress on you. Here’s another tip, walk to the back of the park first. When your child has a meltdown and you’re ready to leave, you want to be as close as possible to your car. We promise you’ll thank us!
- Comfy shoes, comfy shoes, comfy shoes. Repeat after me. Oh, and closed toe is preferred at you’ll be walking on old dirt roads/paths. You do not need to look cute and neither do your kids. Come as you are and enjoy yourself, without leaving with a blister you’ll later regret.
- Pack snacks and bring reusable water bottles. There are plenty of places throughout the Village where you can refill your bottles. Save yourself some money and plan ahead. But if you forget, the snack stand in the carousel house has a BUNCH of little snacks and drinks for $.50-$1. Super budget friendly if you need it.
- Stand in line and get those photos with Thomas and Sir Topham. Our team members who have passed on the pictures say they regret not doing it! It’s a great memory to have and one day you’ll want to look back and remember your time there with your little ones.

This must be our 6th or 7th year going with my son. He will always love Thomas!
