YouTube Virtual Summer Camps That Are Totally FREE

Summer is in full swing and many of us are simply still trying to figure it out. Some summer camps have reconvened while others haven’t. We’ve heard from several moms that are still trying to figure out what they should do with their kids this summer. Michigan summers are amazing but there are days when going outside simply isn’t an option. So, what do we do?! Well, YouTube announced they will be offering virtual summer camp absolutely FREE.

As a mom who YouTubes just about everything, I couldn’t be more excited! You actually may catch me taking a few of these summer camps with or without my kids. Now, you’re probably wondering what it is they are offering and why you should check it out.

On June 22, YouTube announced that they would be launching #CampYouTube, a dedicated section on YouTube for littles 13 and under. Here, you’ll find an array of options when it comes to virtual summer camp with over 1,200 videos for children and teens to choose from. You can find everything on the YouTubeKids app or YouTube’s Learn@Home section.

#CampYouTube is divided into the following four sections: Arts Camp, Sports Camp, STEM Camp, and Adventure Camp. Your child can learn how to play the guitar, master yoga, or learn how to code. Better yet, your child can learn to do all three. There is literally something for everyone here. The content is amazing and was created by a lineup of people you already know and love. You’ll enjoy stuff from American Museum of Natural History, Dodo Kids, thebrainscoopTED-Ed, BlippiAntonelli Baseball, Brave Wilderness, Cosmic Kids YogaMLBNational GeographicPhysics GirlScience Insider, the Science Channel and dozens more.
