Metro Detroit Spring Activities from A to Z:
A: A Hoppin’ Good Time | Armada
Hop on down to spend a day at Blake’s for a fun-filled spring day. Take a photo with the Easter Bunny, partake in an Easter egg hunt, and do some spring crafts. Event takes place Saturday, April 1st.
Bonus: Try your hand at archery at the Outdoor Adventure Center.
B: Boater Safety Course | Detroit
Before we head into summer, be sure all the boaters in your family take the boater safety course which will be offered for free at the Outdoor Adventure Center. Class takes place Saturday, April 22nd.
Bonus: Butterflies in Bloom at Dow Gardens in Midland allows you to get up close and personal with hundreds of butterflies.
C: Chow Time on the Farm | Milford
Spend the afternoon on the farm and help the staff feed the animals. Event takes place Friday, May 12th.
Bonus: Bring your own kayak or canoe and take part in a canal paddle tour at Lake Erie Metro Park. Tours take place on various dates beginning at the end of May!
D: Day Out with Thomas | Dearborn
Spend the day with Thomas at Greenfield Village. Take a ride on Thomas himself, listen to story telling, and enjoy live music. Plan ahead–taking place in May!
Bonus: Meet the farm animals in the heart of Detroit at Down on the Farm at Outdoor Adventure Center on Sunday, April 23rd.
E: EGGstravaganza | Lake Orion
It’s raining eggs! Let the kids collect eggs to exchange for prizes in Canterbury Village, taking place throughout the month of April.
Bonus: Solve puzzles and riddles and collect prize-filled eggs at the Easter Egg Hunt at Detroit’s Historic Fort Wayne on Saturday, April 8th.
F: Flower Day at Eastern Market | Detroit

The whole family can partake in the fun. With events from kids’ marathons to a full marathon, there is an event for everyone in the family. Marathon takes place on Saturday, April 15th.
K: Kensington Art Fair | Milford
With over 100 artists and many food trucks, the Kensington Art Fair will be a great way to spend Memorial Day Weekend at the end of May!
