Our Costco Mom Hour event is QUICKLY approaching, and we are so excited that Costco is opening their doors an hour early exclusively for CMBN followers {+ kids} all over the country! Whether you are a current Costco member or not, we encourage you to join us at one of the four participating Detroit area Costco locations for this FREE event – complete with light refreshments, swag bags for the first 100 families through the door, giveaways, membership specials, and more.

- This is a national event and will take place at five of the Houston area Costco locations — as well as in over 90 other warehouses throughout the US! {Here’s the list that you can share with friends in other cities too.}
- Registration for this event ends on Thursday, November 3rd at 11:59pm CST. If you plan on attending, you *MUST* register for the event by that time.
- The event will begin promptly at 9am, a full hour before Costco opens to the public.
- But don’t forget… The first 100 families at each location will receive a swag bag, so if that’s something of interest to you – we encourage you to get there early and be ready!
- While this is a “Mom Hour,” please know that everyone is welcome to attend – kids, dads, grandparents, and friends. The more the merrier, so feel free to share this event on social media, tell your neighbors, and invite anyone who might be interested in attending!
- A light breakfast will be served as part of this event, and it’s a great opportunity to try out items your family just might love.
- Remember you do NOT have to be a member to attend and enjoy the event. However, if you plan to make purchases, you will need a membership.
- Speaking of memberships… Costco is offering an AMAZING Membership Special exclusively for CMBN followers. {Details below.} If you’re taking advantage of the special, then we *STRONGLY* encourage you to sign up and finalize your membership prior to the event. The online portion of the process takes just a few minutes, and getting your membership finalized in the warehouse will only take about 15 minutes of your time. Not a big deal … except we are anticipating the membership lines to be long the morning of our event, and we’d hate for you to spend the entire time waiting in line instead of taking advantage of all that this event has to offer.

As mentioned above, the first 100 families at each warehouse will receive a swag bag PACKED with products to try out. In them, you can expect to find things like trail mix, fruit snacks, microwave popcorn, granola bar, juice box, applesauce pouch, and a protein shake as well as brands like Downy, Bounce, Tide, Mr. Clean, Pantene, and Crest. In addition, each warehouse will have three awesome giveaways, including two $100 Costco Cash Cards and a one year supply of Tide Pods!

This year’s Membership Special will be a $20 Costco Cash Card with a Gold Star Membership – plus $43 in coupons which will be mailed. {Word on the street is this Membership Special is as good as it will ever get from Costco!} All you have to do is simply purchase the special online, print it off, and redeem it in store. And if you choose to upgrade to the Executive Membership, you will get an additional $20 Costco Cash Card too!
While this offer is only for NEW members {ie, someone who has not been a member for at least 18 months}, there is an added incentive for current members as well… If you’re currently a member and you bring a friend who signs up for a membership, then you’ll get a $10 Costco Cash Card just for the referral. {Limit of 10 referrals per member.}

While this is a *FREE* event, ALL ADULTS MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND!!! {Children are welcome, but do not need tickets.} As mentioned, this is a national event happening in many different cities, so you will need to scroll through the options and find ‘Detroit Moms Blog’ to ensure you register correctly. From there, use the drop down to select how many people you are registering for, scroll to the bottom of the form, and click ‘REGISTER.’ You will automatically be directed to a landing page where you can fill out all of your information, such as which warehouse you will be attending the event at and whether or not you are a current member. Also, while both members and non-members are welcome, you do need to have a membership in order to make purchases. {See Membership Special above!}
