It’s looking a lot like summer in the D. Thank goodness Detroit Moms, because with the April we had (snow galore), I thought I would have to keep our winter wardrobe still lingering “just in case!” Then when it was “It’s Gonna Be May” in Michigan, we hardly saw spring. Hot Mom Summer took control!
As a mom of two boys, one who is a new teenager (yikes), dressing age-appropriately especially during the summer is KEY! But how can we look on point and on trend while doing this?

This boutique used to be located in Lexington (one of my favorite small beach towns), then moved to the Metro area to be open year-round! Lucky for us, we now have access to this small but very cute and reasonable-priced shop! This mom-and-daughter-owned boutique sells items that are trendy and comfortable for all women. Plus, if it’s your birthday month, you get 20% off!
Bella Mia Boutique | Plymouth
Wow! Follow Bella Mia on IG, because there are so many great reels about what’s new for this beautiful boutique! The best thing about this shop is that it is so accessible to us as moms. If you’re out with the girls, you can shop! If you’re at lunch with your mom, you can shop through IG. If you’re working from home, you can shop on their website! Done! Plus, for summers in Michigan, I love all of their jumpers and rompers, especially for quick and easy swimsuit cover-ups.
Good Neighbor | Detroit
The name says it all. Let’s shop local, let’s support local, let’s be proud of who we are. This is what Detroit Moms is all about, and what Good Neighbor exudes. They provide their customers with brands that have meaning and have an impact on our community. Once you step foot in Good Neighbor, you will step out ready to conquer the world and your kids! The boutique also has great swim options for all shapes and sizes.
Savvy Chic Boutique | Grosse Pointe
Walking down Kercheval on a hot day with the family feels so good, especially if you walk right into Savvy Chic Boutique, and the kids go with Dad to get some delicious ice cream! This shop carries everything that is on trend all the time. There are certain styles that may be great for your teenage girls; however, there is definitely a great selection for us fabulous moms! This way, it’s a great mom and daughter shopping date!
Valentina’s Posh Boutique | Shelby Township
When you walk into this boutique, you feel at home! Valentina is so generous, it’s as if you are shopping with your best mom friend! Her shop is great for all ages. So, we as moms don’t have to worry about what we buy here. If we love it, we should wear it! If we feel comfortable in it, we should wear it! I found some great items that are versatile that you can wear for beach cover-ups or for a night out with a hot pair of denim and heels!
