Light Up the Night Street Festival

Come Celebrate the start of the holiday season with the 9/Mack Merchants Association! The street will be closed so that you can discover the businesses. Tree lighting at 5:30, Dance performance at 6:30. Join Victoria the Elf has she strolls down the street to discover all the merchants. Stop by Shores Inn meet Olaf and warm up at the S’more station. Have your ephoto taken with Santa at Roy O’Brien Ford and drop off your non-perishable food items for a local food bank. Stop by Party Adventure and Comfortably Yours for there glow stick giveaway and cookies. Connie’s has Story Time with Mrs Clause. MaryEllen Studio of Dance will have an open house with refreshments. Stop by Circare,Cheesecake Shoppe,Vitamin Village and Firehouse Pub and discover their promotions. Jan and JIm’s Hallmark will have Complementary Mulling Spice Cider. Great Lakes Ace will have hot chocolate,candy canes and you can drop off your toy for S.C.S. Cops for Kids. Sommerville Audio and New Edge will have donuts. There will be a holiday performance by Casali School of Dance at 6:30 in front of the Shores Theater. Warm up at Caffe Far Bella and listen to Christmas Music by Tami. YMCA will also be offering a craft project . Come down and discover and enjoy the 9/Mack Merchants.

This event is offering holiday drink tastings featuring fresh and festive twists on classic cocktails and fun for all. Housed inside a 10,000-square foot heated structure providing clear views of the Campus Martius Park Christmas tree, attendees will have an opportunity to experience some of the best Michigan wines, craft beers and spirits mixed by some of Detroit’s best mixologists – plus beverages from around the globe!
Live entertainment, an ever-popular selfie station, and a keepsake commemorative glass will also add to the merriment and festivities. Additionally, food will be available for purchase from some of Detroit’s most popular establishments.

A feast for the eyes and the ears, this holiday musical collaboration is sure to start the Christmas season off both merry and bright. Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, a holiday must, will be offered in collaboration with the Macomb Ballet Company, choreographed by artistic director Amber Megna-Michalik, and assistant directors Sarah Boik, and Mary Sherman, who bring a fresh perspective to a classic art.

The Trenton Civic Commission and Parks and Recreation have once again teamed up to kick-off the holiday season in a big way with the annual “Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony.” Stroll downtown and welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus to Trenton. The downtown streets will be all aglow with hand-held candles illuminating the parade route. The Parade begins at 6 p.m. Following the Tree Lighting Ceremony, all are invited to Trenton City Hall for the Parade afterglow and awards.
